The proprietary %XMODEMTRACE command activates modem traces. The
trace data is in binary format and can help the Nordic customer support to analyze and resolve

Traces can be captured using Trace Collector in the nRF Connect toolset.
Set command
The set command activates and deactivates modem trace. The command configuration is stored to NVM approximately every 48 hours and when the modem is set to minimum functionality mode with the +CFUN=0 command.
