[5] BUCK: VOUTB voltage overshoots during mode change through MODE pin

This anomaly applies to IC Rev. Revision 1, build codes CAAA-C00.

Symptoms

VOUTB voltage overshoots up to 200 mV when mode is changed through the MODE pin.

Conditions

Higher than 30 mA load is applied within 55 µs after BUCK mode has been changed to forced PWM mode using the MODE pin.

Consequences

BUCK converter's output voltage overshoots up to 200 mV for 30 µs.

Workaround

If the system cannot tolerate a 200 mV voltage increase, wait at least 55 µs before applying a load higher than 30 mA after BUCK mode has been changed to forced PWM mode using the MODE pin.
