Overview

Our Zigbee stack uses ZBOSS 3.0 which is a portable, high-performance Zigbee™ software protocol stack that can help you overcome the challenges of interoperability, customizing, testing, and optimizing your Zigbee™ solution.

The key advantages of our Zigbee stack include the following:

• Full-featured Zigbee™ PRO stack with extensive support for protocols, available as binary
• Highly optimized for minimal resource usage, robust execution, and high performance

The Zigbee™ SDK implements the Zigbee 3.0 specification for all device roles: coordinator, router, and end device.

• All device roles (ZC, ZR, ZED)
• Zigbee™ Cluster Library (a specification for end devices)
• Base Device Behavior

Supported Zigbee standards

The Zigbee stack follows the Zigbee 3.0 specifications set which is as follows:

• MAC: 802.15.4-2011, IEEE Standard for Local and metropolitan area networks – Part 15.4: Low-Rate Wireless Personal Area Networks (LR-WPANs)
• Zigbee Specification, revision 21
• Base Device Behavior Specification
• Zigbee Cluster Library Specification, revision 6

Implemented features

The Zigbee stack implements all mandatory features of the Zigbee 3.0 specification and provides an Application Programming Interface to access ZDO and BDB services (API for ZDO and BDB is described further in this document). Another set of APIs provided by the Zigbee SDK for the application is the ZCL API. The ZCL specification describes different clusters, and many of them are implemented in the Zigbee stack.
